Our Story

The Heavy Favorites Brand was established in August of 2019 by Katrina and Wayne Matthews. It originated from an idea to market their printing business to clothing lines. The couple loved the process so much that they decided to start their own brand.

The concept was derived from observing the talents and potential of people in their community that were in not so favorable situations. They knew that if, some of the individuals understood that their talents were a gift from God that would allow them to overcome the challenges facing them, then the community would benefit from it. They wanted to use the opportunity to work with others who built their businesses from the ground up by unlocking this potential.

While Heavy Favorites is a fairly new brand, they hope to inspire the communities in which they come from to not play victim. Instead, the brand encourages them to use what God gave us to show who has the real advantage. The creators are still educating themselves in manufacturing, marketing, and finance in hopes that they one day will be able to provide jobs for the Heavy Favorites in their communities. Katrina and Wayne are so excited to allow the world to “Put the team on their backs!”
